Research reaching street-level infrastructure
In Bogotá, a practical study of green roofs on bus shelters draws on Professor Amir’s green-roof review. The report, held by the city’s public-space authority DADEP, cites the review in its explanation of environmental benefits and rainwater retention.
Evaluating greener public space
The project by Sustentar Soluciones Verdes installed 28 green-roof bus shelters and studied eight across four parts of the city. Its fieldwork covered pollution, rainwater and public responses. The research took place in 2014–2015; the DADEP project record carries signatures dated August 2020. Professor Amir’s contribution is through the cited research, alongside the project team’s independent design and fieldwork.
