Research used beyond the journal

BRANZ’s 2024 report Climate change adaptation of buildings in New Zealand – research prioritisation assessment, prepared by WSP, discusses Professor Amir’s study with Zahra Jalali and Asaad Y. Shamseldin. Its executive summary draws on the study to explain the need for high-resolution, locally specific analysis of climate impacts on buildings.

Preparing buildings for a changing climate

The 2023 Building and Environment paper examines future heating and cooling demand across New Zealand’s climatic regions. The WSP report discusses the study in its review of New Zealand research, connecting Professor Amir’s findings with a wider assessment of building-adaptation research needs.
