Research reaching practice
An Egypt-focused assessment of heritage and contemporary buildings adapts the strategy matrix from Professor Amir’s sick-building-syndrome review.
How the research was used
The authors use the matrix to compare the effectiveness and complexity of strategies for reducing sick-building-syndrome triggers. Figure 9 explicitly credits the review, making the transfer of an analytical framework into a healthier, more resilient isolation-environment assessment directly traceable.
The documented contribution
Springer 2024, pages 65–91 · Institutional manuscript pages 9–10, Figure 9. Research-to-design assessment, rather than a completed conservation intervention or Egyptian government adoption.
