Evidence for urban green infrastructure
A German report by the Deutscher Dachgärtner Verband and researchers at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) draws on Professor Amir’s green-roof review. Its discussion of urban ecological benefits points readers to the review for an overview of green-roof ecosystem services.
Research in a municipal planning context
Published in November 2015 with funding from the Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt, the report presents a remote-sensing method for inventorying existing green roofs and assessing further roof-greening potential. It connects the ecological evidence with practical information needs for municipal climate adaptation, drainage and biodiversity planning.
