The story

Architectural research reaching campus decision-makers

UI GreenMetric’s university sustainability guidelines cite two studies led by Professor Amir: “What is an intelligent building? Analysis of recent interpretations from an international perspective” and “Intelligent or smart cities and buildings: a critical exposition and a way forward.” Both appear among the references in the 2019 and 2023 English editions, bringing his Professor Amir’s work into an international campus-sustainability guidance resource.

Connecting intelligence with environmental performance

The guidelines address smart-building implementation alongside energy efficiency, indoor environmental quality, water, lighting and campus sustainability reporting. Their reference to this research extends its readership beyond academic journals to universities assessing their built environments.
